Love these photos. Love the Community Garden. So sad to see the clock wind down on this town treasure.
Just thinking: if the community gardens need to be relocated , {hoping not} a good spot for them might. be on senior center property.

The destruction of this garden will go down as one of the most shameful episodes in town history.
That list of most shameful would make a great survey and quiz show. Followed by a vote with prizes.

Frankly, I’d sort of think this would outrank the garden by a couple orders of magnitude. A week after an article in the local newspaper that a fire there would might cause a great loss of life.

John McCarthy is correct. So many of us tried but failed. I did become acquainted with one of my new heroes, Toni Simonetti, but there were so, so many more who tried to prevent this mistake.
