Wasn’t there a Speakeasy around there during Prohibition? I had an aunt who used to frequent one, and I think it was around there.
According to Judge Adams in his 1951 paper, he stated that Mrs. Kalabanye built a house in 1908 on lower Maple Lane. Then after that date, she built two more houses and a tavern.
