Photo Challenge #468

The stretch of Post Road East between Stop & Shop and Layla’s Falafel is dangerous. It’s best to keep your eyes on the road.*

But 3 passengers — or clients — were wide-eyed enough to know that last week’s Photo Challenge showed the cat on a sign outside Poster Veterinary Associates, on that section of the Post Road. (Click here to see.)

Andrew Colabella, Jeff Jacobs and Jonathan McClure all identified Peter Gold’s image correctly. Now keep your eyes on the road!

This week’s Photo Challenge is a bit of a pickle. If you know where in Westport you’d see this, click “Comments” below.

*That’s actually good advice for the entire Post Road — and all of Westport, in fact.

(Here’s a non-photo challenge: Can you support “06880” with a tax-deductible contribution? If so, please click here. Thank you!)

  1. I haven’t been there in over 4 years but is it TJs?

  2. Gold’s

    • Pat, that would have been my second guess. I haven’t been inside there either for years although I have certainly done a lot of curbside pickups. They’re the best.

    Gold’s deli!

  5. I have never participated in a photo challenge!!! My guess is Gold’s.

  6. Probably Gold’s. If it’s Rye Ridge Deli you’re probably looking at $21.99…….

  7. Dan, I’m so sure it’s Gold’s that if I wrong, I’ll foot 80% of the cost of a renovated Long Lots and quadruple Ms Tooker’s salary!!

  8. I haven’t been back to Westport in four years but I’d guess Golds too.

  9. Gold’s no doubt!

  10. Gold’s Deli?

  11. Of course it is Gold’s Deli? Where else in Westport could it possibly be?!

Dan – when our ex-son-in-law acquired Gold’s from the original owner – Julius Gold – my wife and I found this pickle at the Antique center in Stratford and bought it for him as a gift. We thought it was the perfect display for Gold’s and it has been there since.
Oddly enough, just yesterday we ran into it’s brother at another antique market!
