Thanks Johanna, for bringing the rain garden to people’s attention. The signage was installed as part of the requirements for Silver Certification by Sustainable CT , back in 2021.
(Sustainable CT is a voluntary certification program to recognize thriving and resilient Connecticut municipalities). There is another rain garden behind the Center for Senior Activities, near the parking lot!!
Thank you Pippa for your continuing work on making Westport a model for sustainability. So proud of you and your work. Will you tell us the difference between a rain garden and a marsh? Best,
Pat Porio
