Evan Stein writes: “On the 50th anniversary of living in Westport, my 82-year-old father found a comfortable spot on the southwest end of the Ruth Steinkraus Cohen Bridge, and captured 10-second clips of the Memorial Day Parade. He sent them to his children as a live play-by-play, from 9:30 to 10 a.m.
His last child to march in the parade did so about 30 years ago. I figured, eventually, his granddaughter — my niece — was going to march by.
Nope. He did this just because he felt like it. I dropped the 19 clips he sent into iMovie, and let it make a video for posterity.
