Sun Shines, But Roads Closed

This afternoon’s brief storm was most intense south of I-95. There was thunder, lightning — even hail.

Eversource was there quickly. The road is reopened, but with caution tape for low-hanging wires.

Meanwhile, Westport Police report these incidents:

• 55 Long Lots Rd: Tree limb partially blocking road.
• 220 South Compo Road: Closed due to wires.
• 73 South Turkey Hill Road: Closed due to downed tree.
• 330 Post Road West (westbound lanes): Closed due to downed tree.
• Greens Farms Road at Maple Avenue: Closed due to downed tree.
• Greens Farms Road at Maple Lane: Closed due to downed tree
