Happy 4th of July! Here’s the scene at 18 Bulkley Avenue South. Monica Ryan and her family decorated their front door this way — and added plenty of bunting, pinwheels in the yard, flags in the driveway, and sparkling lights at night.

Last year, historian Bob Weingarten wrote a story for Greens Farms Magazine, about flags in town.
Three caught my eye. May they continue to wave proudly!

Artists Walter and Naiad Einsel designed Uncle Sam and Miss Liberty, flanking the Stars and Stripes.

Decorations by Rebecca and Diane Yormark:
ALL DECORATIONS APPRECIATED BUT THE ONE ON BUCKLEY AVENUE IS EXCEPTIONAL.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO ALL . . .
Thanks! The kids were did all the real work!
It’s great to be seeing that we are celebrating America and our independence. I hope everyone is having a great Independence Day. God bless America! .
I fly the Betsy Ross flag at my Texas ranch the week before and after the 4th. I read online a year or so ago that some white supremacists had adopted this flag as their emblem, Nike even pulled a shoe with the Ross flag from distribution because of that. Well, screw them…we New Englanders know what it means and I intend to keep flying it every year. Happy 4th of July everybody.
Never take it down! Peace and enjoy
Love every one of them
Thank you Bob
