  1. Janet was a special and lovely person. I was fortunate to meet her several years ago and have the opportunity to know her. She was filled with compassion for people and for all living things. She fought the illness that ultimately claimed her with strength and good humor. Hers was a unique life story that placed her at the heart of one of history’s most turbulent and horrifying episodes, and she shared it for the betterment of the world, which simply by being, she made a better place. I’m glad to have known her, and am surely among many who will remember her warmly and well for a long time. My condolences to her family in their loss.

  2. The Earth has lost a true gentle woman. An extremely strong advocate for nature and human kind. She will be sorely missed by us humans and all the others she has helped along the way. Peace to her beautiful spirit and soul.
