To atop each spire, reaching Heavenward, one must imagine, also, each supports a lightning rod, I believe. But primarily, the aesthetics remind us of our sum and summit while here on earth plus there’s certainly no mistaking what takes place under those rooflines…and where we can go to find solace in our day.
