New Traffic Pattern At Compo Beach

It’s a good thing the new way of exiting Compo Beach — shown below — is only temporary:

Construction of the sidewalk — extending from the pavilion to the cannons — and related work on the grassy center median for parallel parking has forced drivers to use this improvised set-up.

Problem is, there’s no warning to drivers entering the beach — as they drive past the basketball courts on their right — that suddenly they’ll see incoming traffic.

Oops!

This should be fun at the fireworks end on the 30th!

‘Was there last night and wasn’t thrilled with this setup – especially at dusk!
It’s dangerous in both directions as the cars are expected to share one lane, with no signage to indicate that. ‘Hoping the work will be finished soon as the beach gets more crowded with school being out.
