Oh My 06880 — Photo Challenge #36

It took a loooong time — and even then no one correctly identified last week’s photo challenge.

Jacques Voris was the only “06880” reader to guess that Lynn U. Miller’s photo of rusted artwork was part of the 1930s-era Merritt Parkway bridge project.

But even Jacques — the consummate Westport historian — did not know the exact spot. He thought it was North Avenue; in fact, the detail was from the Clinton Avenue overpass. Click here to see the the artwork; scroll down for all the incorrect guesses.

Here is this week’s challenge:

  1. Has to be the Black Duck. I’ve been there once or twice.

  2. Its a sign on the DMA offices promoting the Ashley Madison tie-in of local residents. Or a sign at the entrance to the BBQ fest.

  3. Nancy Hunter Wilson

It’s a 2011 British drama film, of course!

  4. Toquet Hall?

  5. Tony is correct. It’s hanging in the Black Duck. I’m surprised this didn’t get a lot more responses — the Duck is pretty popular. Then again, 1) it’s not about the decor, and 2) it is a very beautiful holiday weekend today.
