Renovation work proceeds at the former Mario’s. This afternoon, the interior looked like this:
The old facade is still up. But signs in the window call the new restaurant — Harvest — “a fresh take on our lifelong commitment to satisfying meals and loyal guests. Custom cuisine from farm to fork.”
The new spot opens in September.
That’s a nicely parked car.
I have no desire to enter that restaurant. Because of what Mr. Vinny did to the longtime employees. Just my feelings and opinion.
Wow, talk about a sad scene…At least I have many great memories of good times spent within those walls…I don’t think I would want to eat there either if I still lived in Westport. What a way to treat such beloved folks…and what a way to introduce yourself to future customers…not a very smart business move. He should just not even bother opening!
i will be interested to see how people respond to this restaurant. everyone is (rightfully) unhappy with how it all played out with mario’s staff. but people are also quick to forget. i, for one, have had negative experiences at this group’s other restaurants so will be staying away.
“Harvest” ? Here’s hoping that they reap what they sow.
Dan, do you have any information about Positano? What I saw when I looked in the windows of what used to be “The Dressing Room” last night did not look like they are making any progress towards opening. They’re missing a lot of potential patrons from the Playhouse this summer.
Agreed. I donât know anything more.
Gloria I would be a bit more concerned with your own business that has terrible reviews.
