Goodbye, Cocoa Michelle. Hello, Bonjo!

Cocoa Michelle — the long-lived, very popular coffee-croissants-and-chocolates spot across from the train station — is closing today.

They’ve been bought out by their coffee roaster. On Monday, they reopen as Bonjo.

The current staff is staying. And Bonjo will feature an expanded selection of food.

For the rest of the week, there’s still Commuter Coffee. And — on the other side of the tracks — Steam.

  1. When the dust is settled, we will have fond memories of the coffee and community inspired by the presence of Cocoa Michelle Cafe nestled by the railroad station (on the prime side: the Westport-to-Grand Central Station
    side.
What’s good is that the tradition of a woman-owned business continues.
Also, the same great coffee and chocolates continue to be available, and the best news is that the new owner asked the best baristas ever….Riccardo and Sinead to stay on. I love these two.
Here’s a bit of coincidence to make the transition work easier: the new owner’s name: Michella.
See you there. I’ll be enjoying the coffee and the community…

  2. Well, I hope they will still carry the chocolate covered marshmallows!
