If you don’t like the Christmas lights downtown — and who does? — don’t despair.
Just head a couple miles south. There — as he does every year — the Minuteman sports a Santa stocking.
So that settles it.
Megyn Kelly was right.

And they colorized “I Love Lucy” this year to boot! Happy Yuletide Dan and same to everyone else, somehow linked together by “06880.”
The minuteman episode?
I don’t think that was one of the episodes they colorized, I was just making a general connection.
Sorry about the name error above!
I don’t have a photo of it, but there is a deer crossing sign on Rt 57 in Weston (on the downhill side of the big hill going into Weston) where every year someone puts a red LED on the end of the deer’s nose, changing him to Rudolph. The deer has magically changed to Rudolph for at least 15 years that I’ve seen – and I noticed tonight that Rudolph is back again in 2013! Whoever does it gives me (and everyone else that drives by) a big smile each and every year!

It is such a teeny little red nose, but visible to those with an appreciative eye for whimsy. I like it too, Drew, and I’m pretty sure I know the deer fellow who does it every year!
I don’t know, the minuteman looks kind of greeny turquoise to me.
That’s a terrific custom, something one would miss if it wasn’t “allowed”.
A bridge nearby my community has been guarded by two lion statues since the 1940’s, and adorned every Christmas with wreaths, Santa hats or scarves. This year the federal government has nixed this long held tradition by saying that decorating the statues causes a dangerous visual distraction when approaching the bridge. Ridiculous.
