“How Can I Help?”

An alert — and very giving — “06880” reader wrote:

My teenage son and I will be in town on Christmas Day, and would like to help out in the community in some way. Any recommendations?

I’m sure the “06880” community has plenty of great ideas for volunteer efforts. Just click the “Comments” button.

PS:  Anyone can help in any way. The responses are not limited to the woman who wrote asking for ideas!

    The Saugatuck Congregational Church will have its Christmas Feast, begining at 11:30 a.m. on Christmas Day. They still need cooks and clean up crew. Specifics and new location via website

    In a similar vein, I was out of town last weekend and missed the Police Department’s Toys for Tots drive….can anybody recommend a worthy local organization that is still collecting?

    Check with STAR or CLASP. They have elderly residents living in group homes who may not have any family left.
