Y Property Q And A

Bedford Square — developers of the downtown YMCA property and the adjacent parcel at 35 Elm Street — will hold a “roundtable discussion” this Wednesday (November 2, 7-9 p.m.) in the Y’s Bedford Room.

Partners say they and their architects will “clear up any misperceptions and fears about the project, discuss the project’s preliminary design ideas and listen to the community’s questions.”

Light refreshments will be served.  Along with heavy questions.

What will the YMCA and nearby properties look like in the future?

  1. That’s a great idea. I can’t wait to see what they say. It’s about time we get to hear about the whole project instead of piece here and piece there.

  2. Can't Drive 55

Why are they worried about downtown. Can’t even keep power to our residents. Why don’t you deal with that little issue first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trim the damn trees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • If I remember correctly, the last time a major effort was made to trim the trees to help avoid outages, the tree huggers rose up and grabbed onto the trees. So, good luck.

  3. Oh good, another thread on this!

  4. What does any of the above have to do with a Q&A

  5. Any ability to adjust the schedule?, as this is at the same date/time as the “Board of Ed forum” this week. I know several who would like to attend both.
