Memorial Day Parade Canceled

Today’s Memorial Day parade has been canceled, due to inclement weather.

A ceremony will be held in the Town Hall auditorium at 10 a.m.

The main speaker is Tracy Sugarman, a World War II veteran who landed on D-Day.

    Too bad it was canceled. Have they ever had it on Sunday with Monday the rain date?

    In the olden days, they always had it on May 30th regardless of the day of the week. I know this because my father’s birthday is/was on May 30th and he was disappointed when they went to the Monday holiday bit. Always told everybody (that would listen) that they were giving him a parade for his b-day. Sorry Pops, not this year.

    It’s so nice out now don’t no why they just did’t postponed it for a hour and why is it so early, it should be at 10:30am what a let down

    Why not televised on Channel 79 ? Town Hall was always on the schedule. We could have traded a P&Z meeting broadcast…

    John & Kelly can be consultants to the PP [Parade People]. Both great ideas. There is a backup plan for fireworks. One would think…
