Our town merits a few seconds of video — a couple of interviews — and a stand-up from the reporter, on tonight’s “CBS Evening News” (click here, assuming you have power).
Apparently NBC, ABC, CNN and Fox were more interested in stuff like health care, banking reform and the world economy.
The hell with them.
I felt the same way when an ice storm hit my home in central North Carolina about seven years ago. I was without power for THREE weeks (as were thousands of my neighbors) in the dead of winter, and well, the news people didn’t care, didn’t care at all. You would think they would have at least come out to the country to see why every man, woman, and child was running a chain saw for days on end!
