Hospitals and theaters are meant be safe spaces for everyone, of all ages, races and backgrounds.
In mid-March, a theater where hundreds of Ukrainians were taking shelter was bombed — even though the word “children” was written in large Russian letters outside the building.
Today — showing solidarity with Ukraine — Westport Country Playhouse staff members chalked the Russian word for “children” in the parking lot adjacent to the theater.
