Most Pics of the Day need no explanation (though I always offer a caption).
This one is different.
It looks like an abstract painting. Or perhaps something from NASA’s Instagram feed.
It’s neither. It’s a view from inside the Westport Library, of the window in the children’s section that mysteriously shattered today.
It must have been frightening for anyone there. But Robin Myers’ photo makes the same scene look beautiful.
