Ivan Fong Keeps Us Safe

Ivan Fong recently volunteered as a member of TEAM Westport, bringing insights and energy to the town committee on diversity.

Today he’s got a much bigger mandate.  The Senate just confirmed him unanimously as Homeland  Security general counsel.  He was nominated in January by President Obama.

Ivan’s previous job was chief legal officer and secretary for Cardinal Health.  Before that he served as deputy associate general for the  Department of Justice, playing a key role in civil litigation and enforcement.  He helped author a major report on cybercrime policy.

Ivan holds a B.A. and M.S. in chemical engineering from MIT, and a law degree from Stanford.  He was also a Fulbright Scholar at Oxford University.

First Westport — and now Washington — appreciate Ivan’s talents and tenacity.
