Photo Challenge #378

Last week’s Photo Challenge showed a colorful mosaic. As usual, “06880” readers were sure of its location.

Half were positive that Jo Sherman Shields’ tantalizing image was part of the unique design surrounding one of the Old Mill private parking garages, on Sherwood Mill Pond.

The other half were just as sure it was across Compo Cove from Old Mill, at Sherwood Island.

The latter group was right. The rocks, shells and whatnot form a “tree mosaic” inside the main pavilion at our state park. (Click here to see.)

Diane Bosch, Erica Caldwell, Lynn Untermeyer Miller, Angi Haen and Linda Green all identified the Sherwood Island site correctly.

But the Old Mill parking garage was a good guess. Both are part of Westport’s semi-hidden art treasures. You just have to know where to look.

This week’s Photo Challenge might be a bit of wishful thinking. Can we really control geese?

If you know where in Westport you’d see this, click “Comments” below.
