Today was supposed to be the 4th of July fireworks (which Westport traditionally celebrates before Independence Day — we’re always ahead of the crowd).

    I was wondering if folks were staying out their places in the sand for whatever socially distanced family picnic there were thinking of having at the beach anyway.

    Won’t miss the beach covered in trash! A quiet night will be good for the plovers too.
