Thus forever quashing the belief that turkeys can’t fly.
(No thanks to Mr. Carlson at WKRP in Cincinnati)
If the Tom lays an egg where do you bury the survivor.
Hi. We may see 18-23 turkeys, here.
Why did the turkey cross the road?
So it could perch on your roof!
Turkeys not only fly, I can verify that they roost / sleep in trees at night. We have 15 to 20 sleeping in the woods behind our house every night. They occasionally like to stroll around on the roof at dawn and then they tear the lawn up searching for breakfast and dropping their “calling card” all over. Not your best house guests!!
one flew off my roof this morning just as I opened the door – scared the socks off me.
Confused? Bill you say they can’t fly?? How to they get in the tree, climb??
Hi Liz,
Yes they definitely CAN fly – I said that not only can they fly, but they also sleep in trees.
