Glad I shopped there last night before the apocalypse
You’d think it was the end of the world! It’s a couple of inches of snow:)
Sigh. I once saw two women come to blows over the last case of bottled water at Stop and Shop, before a similar weather forecast.
Amy Kaplan your first six words reminded me of this
Mother Goose Poem:
There was an old woman who lived in a shoe.
She had so many children, she didn’t know what to do.
She gave them some broth without any bread;
And whipped them all soundly and put them to bed.
She Managed.:)
I suspect if someone crashes a car while going out in slippery weather, the “know it alls” would complain about her/his lack of preparation/
Got my calcium chloride for my stone walkway from the friendly folks at Westport Hardware this morning!
There were once three hardware stores on Main St. Thank goodness we still have Westport Hardware.
Hey, I know her 😀
Sometimes when the weather is predicted to be snowy, folks just like to stock up and make some beef stews or homemade breads, in anticipation of cozy’ing up/hunkering down.
And if one DOES lose power, well, why not have something to reheat on a grill or propane stove!
Nothing wrong with a little prep, even if last minute, IMO.
😉
