One of Westport’s oddest traditions — drivers plowing through the storefronts of Compo Shopping Center’s bank, delicatessen and retail stores — is ending.
Last night, alert “06880” reader Jeff Gray spotted workers placing bollards up and down the sidewalk.

I’m still amazed at how many drivers cannot navigate through a parking lot at 5-10 mph without driving through a storefront. What do these drivers do at 30 mph or at 60? Scary!
How soon until the first bollard is hit .?Hopefully people will slow down and pay attention .Long overdue
