This was the scene earlier this morning at Christ & Holy Trinity Episcopal Church:
It was repeated at churches all over Westport — and at a sunrise service at Compo Beach.
Enjoy the day!

My Favorite rose stained glass window! Happy Easter and Happy Birthday Dan!
It’s a beautiful building (with wonderful people). Thanks, Mary!
I hope you had a happy Easter and a happy birthday, Dan. I’ll bet your birthday does not fall on Easter very often. Mine falls on Thanksgiving probably more frequently. Just happened last November 26th. I went to see Miracles from Heaven this afternoon, and it was a wonderful movie.
Thanks, Barbara. Very occasionally Easter or Passover. Never St. Patrick’s Day though. Go figure!
Christ and Holy Trinity Church was my families’ church from 1950-1960 .What a delight to see this lovely interior shot on Easter Morning . In the 50’s The Rev Lorentzen would have a potted hyacinth for every child
. The scent was amazing in the sanctuary. Thanks, Dan
Thank you Dan and Chip for the photo and post of Christ and Holy Trinity on Easter morning. I was married here in August of 1969, and since we moved away, haven’t seen it since. It was a nice Easter morning surprise, thanks for that!
A potted hyacinth for all was the tradition. Thanks again.
