After a gorgeous start, Westport’s skies turned menacing this afternoon.

Alert “06880” reader Matt Murray was at Compo Beach, just before a brief but gusty storm rolled in.

    Happy Earth Day to you too.
    I notice that only one of the Republican candidates for the presidency (Bush) acknowledges that man made climate change is real. I wonder what sort of Earth Day the rest of them had.

    I love a good, fast moving storm – so exciting! This pic makes me wish I was there, seeing the storm-front come in. Makes me remember rushing out to the beach to experience weather and waves in the past.

      Me, too! With such low humidity where I live thunderstorms occur only twice a year, if that.
