On Friday, driving from the Y on the sparkling new Merritt Parkway Exit 41 ramp, I saw a guy with a truck putting up a sign.
Check it out — it’s the sparkling new white one, at the bottom of all the others.
Call me crazy, but I’m guessing this is not an official — or legal — Department of Transportation project.
Booze in Wilton, but Westport is apparently a dry town. Funny, that’s not how I remember it
This is a nod to the corner of rte 33 and newtown turnpike.. It is the closest trifecta off the exit… Has nothing to do with Wilton…
Spirits?! Got to be blind to miss the Red Barn.
Or The Country Store and liquor store next door…

Food. Fuel. Spirits.
Somebody has their priorities out of order.
Dan, it’s a political candidate. Their name is “Food Fuel” and are part of the “Spirits” campaign. Legal placement of political campaign sings are not required. Just think back to a money ago of all those illegal yard signs on every corner of every street. Politicians are above the law.
Think there is a new owner at Country Store now, must be directing folks there. There’s food fuel and spirits (next to Country Store). Small business needs all the help we can give to survive these days…
Dan maybe it’s just a good deed to help promote business , it’s not bad news
