Alert “06880” reader John Hartwell saw “The Angels’ Share” last night, at the Garden Cinema.
It’s a quirky, bittersweet working-class comedy set in Scotland (with English subtitles, thankfully). A subplot involves a barrel of rare whiskey put up for auction.
It’s sold for over a million pounds. The buyer — wearing a Red Sox cap — is an American from Westport.
The audience howled.
Westport… with a RED SOX cap?
