I went to Stew Leonard’s yesterday for the usual: bagels and juice.
I saw the usual: an insane parking lot, and half of Westport.
Plus the unusual: a marriage.
Okay, a marriage proposal.
Though the couple said “I do,” the “minister” was only a prop.

But it was a nice event.
The happy couple-to-be promised to love, honor and cherish each other.
And to always shop at Stew’s.
I must say Professor, you do get around and have an eye/ear for the breaking news. Perhaps Tyler Hicks needs a sidekick??
I’m surprised to see that Dan Woog shops at Stew’s! Dan, did you know you have to cross the Westport line?
We had some fun with this couple that wanted to propose. We videotaped and will post on Youtube. Maybe Stew Leonard’s will get lots of hits and it will go virual.
We trumped the Mitchell’s on service yesterday. They had a big catering order for their annual picnic and canceled at 11 a.m. due to the thunderstorms yesterday. How did Stew’s handle a last minute cancelation? The same way Mitchell’s handles it……….NO PROBLEM! They rescheduled for today and had a great time. Their tummy’s were all full and everyone was smiling.
By the way Dan, how do you like the signage in our restrooms?

Here’s the “I Do at Stew’s” back story: two of our newly-engaged and very loyal shoppers, Rosanne and Mark, recently asked if they could take their engagement photos here at Stew’s. A part of their courtship centered around shopping together at Stew’s every Sunday morning and they wanted to use the store as the backdrop to these pictures. To help the happy couple celebrate, we planned “I Do at Stew’s” to wish them well and thank them for making Stew Leonard’s a part of this very special time in their lives.
