One side effect of the economic downturn is severely reduced traffic on I-95 and the Merritt. Morning or afternoon rush hour; northbound or southbound — it’s like a sleepy Sunday morning.

I wouldn’t go that far but the layoffs in Stamford have certainly made an impact on traffic volumes this winter. Of course, it does not much matter to me for the next 6 months as I am biking to work!
