For The Heart, For First Night

I’m a For The Heart groupie.

The Westport-based group of teenagers arranges all their own songs. They harmonize beautifully. And they bring their upbeat music to nursing homes, schools for underprivileged kids, and community events — all for free.

Tonight, For The Heart performed for First Night. They packed Toquet Hall.

If you missed it — no problem. Here are 3 selections — from For The Heart, to you.

Happy New Year!

  1. Coalition to Cure Calpain 3 was fortunate to have FOR THE HEART participate in a fundraiser this past November, right on the heels of Hurricane Sandy and in the midst of preparations for opening weekend of the Staples Players production of OKLAHOMA (which many of them were in). Their talent is obvious from the selections that Dan has posted, but you should also know that they are aptly named as these performers are full of HEART! They performed like the true professionals they are and lifted everyone’s spirits. Several of them are high school seniors and will be auditioning for colleges in the next few months, so let’s all send them our best wishes during this process. And just think… we’ll be able to say we knew them when!
